On June 23rd, 2016, the British people voted in a referendum to leave the European Union. The European Union currently has 28 member states from the Atlantic Ocean to the Baltics, and from Scandinavia to the Mediterranean. There is no doubt, that the next few years will be fraught with some turmoil as Britain and Europe work out details should the non binding referendum be followed by Parliament. It could lead to another number in the near future, 1, should Scotland decide to hold another referendum on leaving the United Kingdom as a repercussion for this referendum.
